Since 2002
About the Southern Ghostwriter
I’m Daniel K. Brantley. Born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I’ve been writing and editing for a living since 2002. Now in Cleveland, Tennessee, I work for clients across the world.
But I didn’t expect to be a ghostwriter. I earned my English degree and secondary minor from King College (now University). I had big plans, visions of matching or outdoing Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society.
Things didn’t go as planned.
My first year of teaching was my last.
I went back to changing oil.
At night, I applied for every job that interested me. A few months later, one of those jobs called for an interview. The interview process took weeks, but I eventually got my first gig as a copywriter.
Decades later, I continue working with words every day. I’ve written millions of words and have ghostwritten everything from picture book manuscripts to memoirs to resumes. A few years ago, I founded Argyle Fox Publishing to help new writers become published authors.
When not helping clients tell their stories, I enjoy writing my own books, playing music, and spending time with family and friends.
